Dumex Dugro is a product of Danone, a leading global nutrition company from France. Today marks a special occasion, as they celebrate two major milestones: World Iron Day and the 30th Anniversary of Dumex Dugro’s presence in Cambodia since 1995.
Hundreds of partners joined the company to celebrate, including representatives from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, national distributors, business partners, company leaders and Danone employees at all levels. Together, they expressed our heartfelt gratitude to Cambodian mothers for their trust and support over the past 30 years. This clearly demonstrates Dumex Dugro’s vital role in supporting generations of Cambodian children.
Aligned with our commitment to improving children’s health, Danone Cambodia were proudly to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Kim Sethany, Secretary of State, representing H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, and Mr. Maarten Van Leeuwen, Country Manager for Cambodia and Myanmar. This marks the second year of collaboration in a joint campaign to reduce iron deficiency anaemia among children, a major health concern that can lead to frequent illness, cognitive delays and slow brain development.
“I place a high value on last year’s collaboration with Danone, which positively impacted thousands of children and students through proper nutrition education. This new MoU will continue focusing on reducing iron deficiency anaemia among children to ensure better health and improved learning outcomes,” said H.E. Dr. Kem Sothany.
“The Ministry thanks Danone for being a trusted partner with a clear commitment to supporting education campaigns and providing quality nutrition products for students. On behalf of the Ministry, I also congratulate Dumex Dugro on its 30th anniversary of nourishing Cambodian children and playing a key role in building a healthy future for them,” he added.
Mr. Maarten Van Leeuwen also shared his pride at the signing.
"For 30 years, Dumex Dugro has been part of supporting Cambodian children by delivering high-quality nutrition to help them grow strong and healthy across generations. On this occasion, we are proud to continue our partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to further reduce iron deficiency anaemia among children in Cambodia. This is an important step toward building a healthier next generation and enabling them to achieve their dreams,” he said.
